Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a low-cost plumber?
Yes. Zoltan keeps his rates fair and gives you the price before any work starts. His promise is simple: you will not get a better deal for your money. Low cost does not mean cutting corners — all completed work carries a 10-year warranty.
Do you take emergency calls?
Yes. Regular hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, and Zoltan takes emergency calls too. For a burst pipe, a leaking water heater, a sewer backup or no water, call his cell at 206-293-6890. If you can, shut off the main water valve while you wait.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes, estimates are free. Call 206-293-6890 (cell) or 206-248-4264 (office), or email zoltanplumber@gmail.com or zoltanandaniko@hotmail.com, and Zoltan will set up a time to look at the job and give you a price.
What does the 10-year warranty cover?
All completed work comes with a 10-year warranty on Zoltan's workmanship. Ask about the details for your specific job when you get your estimate.
Which areas do you serve?
Seattle and South King County, including West Seattle, Skyway, Tukwila, Burien, SeaTac, Normandy Park, Des Moines, Renton, Kent and Federal Way. If your city isn't listed, call and ask.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Yes. Zoltan The Plumber is licensed, bonded and insured in Washington State. License numbers ZOLTAP*024CE and ZOLTAP*782DH.
Do you replace water heaters?
Water heaters are Zoltan's specialty. He repairs and replaces gas and electric tank water heaters for homes and businesses, including the seismic strapping and relief-valve piping Washington requires.
Should I repair or replace my water heater?
It depends on the age of the tank and what is wrong. A bad thermostat, element or valve can often be repaired. A leaking tank cannot. Zoltan will tell you honestly which makes sense for your heater.
Do you do commercial plumbing?
Yes. Zoltan works on both commercial and residential properties, including water heaters, sewer and drain lines, water service lines and remodel or tenant-improvement plumbing.
How do I know if my house needs to be re-piped?
Low water pressure throughout the house, rusty or brown water, and repeated leaks in different places are the most common signs — especially in older homes with galvanized steel pipe. A free estimate will tell you whether repairs or a re-pipe is the better value.
Who is responsible for my side sewer?
In most of the Seattle area the property owner is responsible for the side sewer from the house to the public sewer main. If you have repeated backups, the line may be cracked or full of roots and need repair rather than another clearing.
